- Symptoms of neuroleptic malignant syndrome include: hyperpyrexia, muscle rigidity, altered mental status, and autonomic instability. Seek medical attention if any of these symptoms emerge.
- Take this medication at the same time(s) each day to prevent missed doses. If you miss multiple doses consecutively, alert your doctor as they may want to re-taper the medication to prevent side effects.
How long does Saphris take to dissolve?
It should completely dissolve within seconds but it is advised to not eat or drink anything for at least 10 minutes after the dose is given in case there is still medication in your mouth needing to be dissolved.

It is not recommended to stop taking Saphris suddenly as this may precipitate withdrawal symptoms. You may slowly wean off the medication under medical supervision and provider approval.
