How To Use

Cerenia contains a potent ingredient called maropitant citrate. It is a neurokinin-1 receptor antagonist. Maropitant is able to block the action of a neurotransmitter (substance P) that triggers vomiting in the central nervous system. Thus, Cerenia is ideal for acute vomiting in dogs. This vomiting is so serious that it continues even when the dog has eaten nothing. Once a Cerenia injection is given, maropitant in it will stop the substance P from binding to the NK1 receptor. This will stop vomiting.
