Alphagan or brimonidine is a medicine for treating high pressure in the eye. Grouped among Alpha-2-adrenergic receptor agonist drugs, Alphagan is in the form of eye drops. If this fluid builds up, it increases pressure in the eye. It improves the symptoms within two hours of application.

How To Use

Usually, an Alphagan dose for adults is one drop twice a day. So you will use it every twelve hours. To use wash your hands first. Then tilt the head back slightly and pull down the lower eyelid. Remove the cap and hold the tip above your eye. Look up and away and press the bottle to release just one drop. Close your eye and press your finger to the corner of the eye, near your nose, to keep the medicine inside. Do the same with the other eye and wash your hands after use. If there are other eye drops medicines you are applying, ask your doctor how to do it safely.
