Incurin Information

Incurin is very effective for the control of estrogen-responsive urinary incontinence in your dog after the dog has gone through the surgical removal of its uterus and ovaries.  The drug is highly effective but should only be used according to the prescription of the doctor. The main ingredient in the drug is estriol, which is a natural estrogen. The ingredient will increase the resting muscle tone of the urethra in your female dog. You must always adhere to prescription when using the drug. Bear in mind that it should only be used by dogs and it is never formulated for human use. It should be kept as far away as possible from the reach of children and your pets.

Recommended Use

Incurin is a prescription drug and should be used according to the doctor’s prescription.  The usual starting dose is 2mg given orally per day and it should be given for a minimum of 14 days.  After the urinary incontinence has been controlled, then you can now reduce the dose to 2mg per day to 1 mg per day and further down to 0.5mg per day.  You should allow up to 7 days minimum between each of these adjustments. You can go a step further by reducing the frequency of the dose to once per two days.
