How does it work?
The fluticasone component acts an anti-inflammatory agent, the umeclidinium inhibits the M3 receptors which causes bronchodilation, and the vilanterol increases the cyclic adenosine monophosphate levels, which causes the bronchial smooth muscles to relax.

What is the recommended dosage?
You should take Trelegy as directed by your physician, generally it is dosed 1 inhalation daily.
What is the maximum dosage?
The maximum recommended dosage is 1 inhalation of fluticasone furoate 200 mcg/umeclidinium 62.5 mcg/vilanterol 25 mcg daily.
What if I miss a dose?
If you miss a dose you should take one as soon as you remember, if it is relatively close to when your next dose is due, wait till your scheduled time and take a normal dose, do not take an extra dose to make up for the missed dose.

There is data showing that LABA monotherapy can increase risk of serious asthma related events.
Do not use this medication to treat acute symptom presentation
Do not use this medication in combination with other LABA medications
Oral candidiasis is a risk associated with this medication, to prevent infection, rinse your mouth with water after each dose.
There is increased risk of pneumonia in patients with COPD using this medication, if you develop signs and symptoms of pneumonia contact your doctor.
If you experience a paradoxical bronchospasm while taking Trelegy discontinue and switch to an alternative therapy.
This medication may put you at risk for worsening of infections if you have existing tuberculosis, fungal, bacterial, viral, parasitic infections, or ocular herpes simplex ensure your prescriber is monitoring the progression closely.
If you are transitioning from an oral corticosteroid to this medication ensure you understand the transition instructions as inappropriate execution can put you at risk for complications.
Patients taking beta-blockers should notify their doctor if they have increased symptoms of increased heart rate, blood pressure, or chest pain.
Patients at risk for or have existing decreased bone mineral density should have their bone mineral density evaluated regularly.
If you have existing glaucoma or cataracts, notify if you experience worsening symptoms while on this medication.
If you have existing problems with urinary retention or prostatic hyperplasia notify your doctor if you experience symptom worsening.

Fluticasone is metabolized by CYP3A4, as a result, medications that are strong inhibitors of this enzyme should be used with caution.
MAOI’s and TCA should be used with extreme caution as they may potentiate the vascular effect of vilanterol.
Patients on beta-blockers should be cautious about this medication as it may potentiate a bronchospasm or decrease the effectiveness of the beta blocker.
How should this medication be stored?
Trelegy should be stored at room temperature between 68°F and 77°F
