Palladia Information

Palladia is used for treating Patnaik grade II or III tumor.  It is also used for treating recurrent tumors. One other use of the drug is for the treating of mast cell tumor, including that having regional lymph node involvement and the one that does not involve regional lymph node. It is used in dogs only.  The drug is effective against tumors, but you should avoid administering it on lactating, pregnant, or breeding bitches. The drug must only be administered based on the recommendation of the vet doctor. Also, make sure you always adhere to the prescribed dose as this will help to reduce the impacts of the side effects associated with this drug.  You should carry your doctor along every step of the way.

Recommended Use

Palladia is a prescription drug and you should use it under the strict guidance of a vet doctor.  The starting dose is 3.25 mg/kg body weight and it should be given orally. It is best administered every other day. You can later reduce the dosage to 2.2 mg/ kg body weight every other day as the dog gets better. If the adverse reactions get out of hands, you can put them under control by interrupting the dose for about two weeks after which you can continue with the dosing.
